See below for more details.

First, we're glad you reached out.

We know that asking for help is one of the hardest steps a survivor can take. Whether you're frightened, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, you don't have to navigate this alone.

Every survivor's situation is unique, and we're here to listen without judgment.

Our First Priority: Your Safety

When you contact Willow Haven, we'll begin by learning about your situation through an intake and safety assessment. This conversation helps us understand your immediate concerns, identify any urgent safety risks, and determine how we may be able to help.

Because every situation is different, we cannot determine what services may be available until this assessment is complete.

Our Intake Process

Our intake process is designed to help us understand your needs and connect you with the most appropriate resources.

During intake, we may discuss:

  • Your current safety concerns
  • Your housing situation
  • Any children or dependents involved
  • Medical or legal needs
  • Financial concerns
  • Transportation needs
  • Long-term goals for safety and stability

Everything you share helps us build the best possible plan for your unique situation.

Every Survivor's Plan Is Different

The services listed throughout our website are examples of ways Willow Haven has helped survivors in the past.

Because we are a privately funded nonprofit, services are provided based on:

  • Your individual circumstances
  • Your assessed needs
  • Available funding and donated resources
  • Program capacity
  • Community partnerships

Not every survivor will need—or qualify for—the same services, and we cannot guarantee specific assistance before completing intake.

If You Need Immediate Emergency Shelter

If you are in immediate danger or need emergency shelter right away, we may refer you to one of our community partners that specializes in emergency crisis response.

This referral is not a denial of services. It simply means another organization is better equipped to meet your immediate emergency needs while we continue evaluating how Willow Haven may be able to help with longer-term safety and stability.

Our Commitment to You

When you contact Willow Haven, you can expect us to:

  • Listen with compassion and without judgment.
  • Treat you with dignity and respect.
  • Protect your privacy to the fullest extent possible.
  • Be honest about what we can and cannot provide.
  • Work with you to identify resources that best fit your situation.
  • Walk alongside you as you move toward safety and healing.

What We Ask of You

To help us serve you as effectively as possible, we ask that you:

  • Complete the intake process.
  • Provide honest and accurate information.
  • Respond to phone calls or messages when possible.
  • Treat our staff and volunteers with the same respect and courtesy that they will show you.

Our team is committed to helping every survivor who reaches out. Completing the intake process gives us the information we need to determine the best way to support you.

You Are Not Alone

Whether Willow Haven is the right fit for your situation or another organization is better equipped to meet your immediate needs, our goal is the same: helping you move toward safety, stability, and healing.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.
