Our Story

Willow Haven was born out of a need that became impossible to ignore. For nearly twenty years, our founder quietly stepped in when families had nowhere else to turn. She saw firsthand the gaps in the system, shelters at capacity, limited rural resources, long waitlists, and survivors forced to choose between danger and homelessness.

Without fanfare, she used what she had to bridge those gaps: arranging transportation to safer cities, providing hotel rooms when no beds were available, helping mothers furnish new apartments, and ensuring children had a safe place to sleep. These weren’t grand gestures, they were urgent, practical responses to life-or-death situations.

As the calls for help grew, so did the need for something more organized and sustainable. That reality sparked the transition from private effort to public mission. She made the decision to formalize the work, establishing Willow Haven as a nonprofit dedicated to providing immediate safety and long-term stability for women and children in crisis.

To strengthen this mission, she invited her two closest friends to join her. Together, they have built a committed team focused on addressing the urgent, everyday needs of survivors, from emergency relocations to safe housing, essentials, home repairs, and support through the early stages of rebuilding.

Their focus is not on recognition, it is on impact.
It is on filling the gap for families who need safety right now.
It is on offering stability during the most vulnerable moments of someone’s life.

Willow Haven exists because safety cannot wait, and because every family deserves the chance to begin again.

Their shared mission is simple:
Save as many families as possible.
Give them safety.
Give them hope.
Give them a home where healing can begin.

And every day, they do exactly that.
